INVITATION TO BID – BAYFRONT 1 REDEVELOPMENT – PHASE 1A PRE-DEVELOPMENT IMPROVEMENTS

ADVERTISEMENT AND NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received by the Jersey City Redevelopment Agency (JCRA) for “BAYFRONT 1 REDEVELOPMENT – PHASE 1A PRE- DEVELOPMENT IMPROVEMENTS ” (the “Project”) _ and publicly opened and read aloud at 4 Jackson Square, Jersey City, New Jersey on Friday, October 4, 2024, 10:00 A.M., prevailing local time. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT BIDS BE PRESENTED BY THE BIDDER OR AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE AT OR PRIOR TO THE ABOVE STATED TIME. The JCRA will not be held responsible for any bids sent by mail or courier that may become lost, damaged, or not received by the designated time.
The Project generally consists of the construction of site preparation and limited infrastructure improvements within the Phase 1A area of the Bayfront Redevelopment Area and generally located at the northwest corner of the intersection of NJSHW Rte. 440 and Kellogg Street including but not limited to demolition, grading, installation of soil erosion and sediment control measures, concrete curb, asphalt pavement consisting of 19H64 HMA base course, dense graded aggregate base course and appurtenances as contained in the Contract Documents.
A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference/Site Tour is scheduled for September 16, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. to be held at the Bayfront Site Trailers (former JCDPW Site behind the JCMUA Offices located at 555 Route 440, Jersey City, NJ 07305). It is highly recommended that all prospective bidders attend these meetings to become familiar with the existing conditions and complete the work as required of the Contract.
Contract documents and plans for the proposed work may be obtained electronically and will be available to Bidders at no charge. You must first register with the JCRA in order to be eligible to receive a password and then you will be directed to an FTP website maintained by Watermen, LLC, PO Box 309, Allenwood, New Jersey, the JCRA’s engineering consultant. You must contact Victoria Bonners of the JCRA by phone, 201- 761-0827 or via email vbonners@jcnj.org in order to register and receive a password.
